I came to taste the trompe-l'oeil cakes I'd been seeing everywhere on TikTok. For my part, it was a very good cake, not too sweet, just right. The only downside was that it lacked cookies because it was just mousse. But it was truly excellent.

Pastry lovers, we tried the trompe-l'oeil creations from this shop in Montauban-de-Bretagne: a real pleasant surprise. We're familiar with Cédric Grolet's (peanut, mango, etc.), and frankly, here they're just as delicious. Very delicate, well-balanced, nothing to complain about. If you like this kind of creation, go for it with your eyes closed.

I ordered the Father's Day basket with 6 trompe l'oeil cakes. They were delicious. Having tasted them elsewhere, I can tell you that you can tell that the recipe is well-crafted and not just a simple mousse inside, just to say that they're selling a trompe l'oeil cake. If you have the opportunity, go for it. I recommend it 100%, and I'll definitely come back if I have to, even to order a cake for a birthday or something else. 💫☺️
